Considering how often this seems to happen, the Blonde in a Red Dress really should know better than to hang around in graveyards at Halloween.
Beware #6, Trojan
The ubiquitous cover girl of the Golden Age of comics!
Considering how often this seems to happen, the Blonde in a Red Dress really should know better than to hang around in graveyards at Halloween.
Beware #6, Trojan
If the dead do start talking, I hope they’ll at least try to help explain exactly what the heck is going on in this cover.
Dark Mysteries #12, Story Comics
Oh, come on, seriously? No! Bad cover editor! Bad! Stop it.
Teen Age Romances #9, St. John
The Blonde in a Red Dress eventually began to suspect that her comic’s editors might be intentionally phrasing the covers to imply a bit more than the actual contents of the “Intimate Love Stories of Real Girls”
True Love Pictorial #4, St. John
The Blonde in a Red Dress seems to find herself with the same problem as many newspaper reporters, in that the person writing the content of the story may not have any control over the person coming up with the sensational clickbait headlines. (At least, I hope that’s the explanation, because “Glamorous Romances” with someone “Lovable” and “Adorable” doesn’t really describe what I think of when story titles are promising a “gamble” with a “hired date” who is “temporarily yours” for a “week-end romance”.)
Dotty #39, Ace Magazines
The Redhead In Yellow continues to fill in for the absent Blonde in Red (and to increasingly question the many career choices that have brought her to this point.)
Jungle Lil #1, Fox Features
Sorry for interrupting our usual update schedule this week. Until the Blonde in Red returns, her rival is stuck filling in for her… which is probably why the Redhead in Yellow is currently conducting a seance to try find where the Blonde in Red has vanished to, so she can drag her back on the job!
Whodunit? Vol.1 #3
The Blonde in a Red Dress is SO ready for the week to be over.
Suzie #77, MLJ/Archie
Not sure if the Blonde in Red is trying to play ditzy in this role, or is just being passive-aggressive snarky at this point.
Suzie #75, MLJ/Archie
Yes, the Blonde in Red was probably thinking of her boyfriend while she was taking a break from her lucrative side business of selling autographed celebrity photos on ebay.
