“Tearing Lila from the plane, Samson plunged his mighty fist into the heart of the motor.”
So, this time we learn that “Lila” is yet another of the many names of The Blonde in a Red Dress. Other than that — it’s just another day, with yet another near-death experience with aircraft.

Many comments:
1. I was going to say the artist looks like Will Eisner, but I looked it up and Eisner was only the writer of the feature!
2. It looks like there are TWO blondes here–but one of them is wearing a (dark) red loincloth! (Maybe you can start a new feature–“The Blond in a Red Loincloth”
3. Why is there a random Indian chief in the cockpit? (I’m glad to see diversity in early comics.)
4. So, Samson and his sidekick David (an orphan with no powers) ran around shirtless in loin cloths battling dangerous criminals. (And Wertham was worried about Batman and Robin!)
5. I want to read “Bonnie O’Toole.”
