“Lucky Comics” — so named because the Blonde in a Red Dress is in a bad mood and the villains are lucky that she’s letting let them off with just some blunt force head trauma.

So, for the most part, most of the appearances of the Blonde in a Red Dress have had her as a bystander, hostage, or possibly in an adventure setting where maybe the threat was coming upon her unexpectedly (a mugger or a zombie coming after her, etc.). Here, the publishers thought it would be a good idea for a girl in a dress to be an all-out Diehard/James Bond type adventure hero taking the battle straight to the enemy! In a short dress and heels. (Going after two serious criminal types armed with guns and lit dynamite–with nothing but a wrench!) Okay–why not?!
